Learning the Letter Q

We are learning Letter Q and Queen Esther this week!
See all the letters and scriptures we have learned here
Kaitlyn has grown to love our Veggie Tale episode on queen Esther...so much that I might could quote the whole episode for you!
We found a book at Mardell's that had Queen Esther on the cover and I have to tell you about this book so you go out right now to purchase for your little girl!
It is the most adorable book on all the princesses of the Bible and has captivated Kaitlyn's heart.
Each story starts "mirror mirror on the wall,
who was the most (each one is a different description) princess of all."
The different descriptions have been "most faithful, most brave, most prayerful"-seriously an awesome book for little girls!! Here it is on amazon.

Our scripture for Letter Q is found in James.
Just like Queen Esther we can learn to listen for God's voice, think before we speak in a hurtful way or react in anger.
You, my precious Kaitlyn, are God's fingerprint. The King is enthralled with You!!!(Psalm 45:11)
Just like Queen Esther and all the other princess in the Bible, God has big plans for you sweet girl!
May you never forget you are set apart, you are loved by the God of the universe, precious in His sight,
AND HIS PRINCESS!!!

Vacation!!

We just spent the most amazing 5 days of care-free bliss with the kids in San Antonio.
We did throw in there a trip to the Children's Museum and Sea World. The museum was so fun and boy oh boy did Jackson have fun pushing the shopping cart in the market.

Sea World had...moments of fun...but it was super hot and the kids only lasted until around 3:30.

Kaitlyn did feed the dolphins!! This has been her dream since watching the adorable movie Dolphin Tale.

From the recommendation of friends, we stayed at the JW Marriott and the pools and slides alone won over the kids .

This was my little walking buddy each morning. We had some amazing morning views in the hill country.
The hotel had craft time for the kids and Kaitlyn made her some Aggie flip flops for game days! Which daddy informed us is just 6 weeks away!
Sooo grateful God provided the funds and time to steal away with my precious family!!

Learning the Letter P

We are learning the Letter P this week!
Our verse is found in Ephesians
We learned a little bit about the Armor of God last year.
You may remember Kaitlyn's cute rendition singing the Armor of God song here.
We were sooo excited to use our Tabletop Truth place mats Aunt Jane got us for Christmas to talk about the Armor of God over meals!
Since the foundation for what the Armor of God was laid last year, we were able to really talk about what it means that God has given us the protection we need!
I found this AWESOME!!! kid-friendly explanation of each piece of God's Armor.
We also colored the armor of God (cute site for biblical coloring pages here)

Now we couldn't learn about Armor and the Letter P without throwing in the word Princess!!
We learned about what it means to be God's princess and found the most adorable Princess sheets here

We had so much fun this week, I almost don't want Letter P to end!!
All this talk about being a Princess is great foundation for learning Letter Q and all about Queen Esther!!

Sweet Kaitlyn, may these truths forever be in your heart. I pray that learning these scriptures makes you yearn for His word as it is your ever-present help in time of need. May you never forget that you are daughter of the King!

P is for PIZZA!!

We started learning the Letter P this week....
and boy oh boy are we so excited Pizza starts with the Letter P!

We found the coolest pizza kit at Wal-Mart!
The kit came with 4 individual doughs and all the toppings to "decorate" as Kailtyn says, the pizza!

We had so much fun!! Would highly recommend finding this for some supper-time fun!
More to come about the Learning the Letter P!

Learning the Letter O

We are learning about obedience and the Letter O this week.
Our scripture is found in Colossians 3:20
When we talked about obedience I used a great resource I found online to talk to Kaitlyn about the 4 keys to obedience.
When you obey, you should obey immediately, with no complaining, cheerfully, and completely. This teaching was a must!! for a 4 year old that sometimes pouts when asked to do something, whines, and gets distracted from the task.
We also made a fun Letter O fruit loop Octopus craft.
Letter P you are up next!!!
