What's In A Name?

16 weeks and counting!! Our doctor appointment Friday went great, but to my disappointment doc is going to make me wait until I am the full 20 weeks to find out what we are having. The suspense is killing me!!

Chris is hoping and praying for a precious baby boy to carry out the Bledsoe name. We are surrounded by girls on the Bledsoe side and we are the last hope of carrying on the family name. Our boy name before knowing K was a girl was Jackson Ryan Bledsoe.  I still love it, but another girl name has my head swimming. These are some we have tossed around. Thoughts??

Alyssa, Adelynn (like Madelyn without the "m"), Addison or Madison, Hailey, Brooklyn

This big sister (and mommy!!)  is dying to know if it will be a baby sister or baby "brudder". We might just have to sneak a peak somewhere else in the next few weeks :)

Weekend Whoo-Hoo!!

We had such a fun weekend!!

Friday Kaitlyn's friend Mabry invited us to swim at the country club. Sweet Mabry shared all her snacks with Kaitlyn, but when I told Kaitlyn that she would share her pool toys or we would go home; she gathered all her stuff and said "I wanna go home" Hmm...that one sort of backfired on me! We will soon learn what it means to share when we have a baby brother or sister to play with! Speaking of....we find out what we are having in a couple of weeks..can't wait!!

Friday night we had the baseball suite which meant another night of popcorn, peanuts, icecream, and running the bases. So fun!

Saturday we drove to San Angelo to see the Stewarts and celebrate Brady's 3rd birthday.

And tonight! I am hosting another Recipe Exchange at my house. I love swapping treats and eats with girlfriends! Whoo-Hoo!!

My cutie!

Last night at dinner with friends for my BFF Jordan's birthday I got to tell a cute little story about my KK.

Here is our conversation one evening in the car on the way home from a baseball game..

Kaitlyn says "Mom, where is Chris?"
Mom:  "He's right here"
Kailtyn: "Well, where's daddy?"
Mom: "He's right here"
Kaitlyn "Well, where's Hey Babe?"

Mom.....smile all over my face at this little sweet girl that melts my heart!!!!

I love that she thinks one of Chris' name's is "Hey Babe" just because she hear's me call him that. My prayer is that I am showing her so much more about what a marriage rooted in God's grace and love looks like.

Happy Friday!

Crescent Roll Recipes!

I love recipes that use crescent rolls. Here are a few of my fav's!

Easy Apple Dumplings (from my friend Brooke)

2 Granny Smith Apples; 2 cans crescent rolls; 1 1/2 sticks butter; 2 C sugar; 1 tsp vanilla; 1tsp cinnamon; 10 oz Mountain Dew

Peel and cut each apple into 8 slices. Unroll crescent rolls. Place one slice of apple into each roll and roll ending with small end. Pinch ends together and place in 9x13 baking dish. Mix butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla, It will be crumbly. Sprinkle over top of rolls. Pour 10 oz mountain dew over the top of rolls. It will look runny, but the rolls will absorb the liquid. Bake at 350 for 30 min

Chicken & Broccoli Ring (Pampered Chef)

2 cups coarsely chopped chicken; 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped broccoli; 1cup shredded cheddar cheese; 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper; 1/3 cup mayonnaise; 2tsp dried dill weed; 1/4 tsp salt; 1 garlic clove, pressed; 1 egg white, lightly beaten' 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 375. Combine chicken, broccoli, cheese, bell pepper, mayonaise, dill, salt, and garlic. Mix well. Unroll crescent rolls and scoop filling into roll and roll up ending with small end. Brush with egg white. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake 25-30 minutes

Sopapilla Cheesecake(from my friend Ashleigh)

2 cans crescent rolls; 3 8 oz cream cheese; 2 cups sugar; 1 stick butter; 1/2 tsp vanilla; 1tsp cinnamon.

Spread 1 can crescent rolls on bottom of 9x13 pan. Mix cream cheese, 1/2 c sugar and vanilla. Spread mixture on rolls. Spread 2nd can of rolls on top. Pour 1 stick of melted butter with remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 30 min

Yummy!!!! I didn't say these recipes are healthy!! Do you have any recipes that use crescent rolls???
