Remembering 2012

This week I spent a lot of time just reminiscing.
Looking at all God has done in our lives in 2012 and looking forward in anticipation at the journey He has for our 2013.
Last year at this time I saw this post and traced my love's hands to post a prayer I would pray over them all year. These precious hands stayed on my fridge all year as a reminder to pray over them.
This year I chose Luke 2:52 for Jackson...May you grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and Man sweet boy!
Little Miss becomes a big girl this year and starts Kinder!! As such I chose Proverbs 31:25 for Kaitlyn. May you be strong in Him and laugh without fear of the unknown KK!
I could hardly believe how much these precious hands have grown!!!
2013...looking forward to God growing and stretching this Mama's heart!

Christmas Pictures!

After attending our Christmas Eve Service at church, we headed to Grandma and Papa's to open presents!
Papa read us the Christmas story...

And the chaos of opening presents began!

Grandma Sundet had lots of fun games for us to play...
And goofy accessories!

That night, our Elf, Christopher Popinkins flew back to the North Pole, but not until leaving at note for our kiddos about how excited he was about celebrating Jesus the next day with all the little children around the world!
Cookies were baked for Santa
And we waited until Christmas morn!! And Santa came!
We spent the morning just the 4 of us!

That evening we headed to Uncle B's to spend Christmas with the Bledsoe Clan!

Chris and I reflected tonight on just how Blessed we are!! Hoping you and your's had a Merry Christmas!
Thank you Jesus! You are the gift!

Caution: A heart exposed...

It was with tears streaming down my face today that I had a sit down with my Lord and asked. " Is it worth it?"

Yes at times I feel very overwhelmed, yes at times my family may feel the affects of a passionate mama's heart.

But there's a part of me that wants to tune out others input to "slow down" and interjections to tell me I am too busy when God has pressed into my heart because...

You can't tell me K memorizing a scriptures for every letter she learns is not worth it, you cant tell me delivering $ to someone in need does not minister to both the giver & recipient, that ministering to my mustard seeds is not planting a seed of truth in their heart, that welcoming newcomers to our church with a "Sommer" smile is not making their hearts more receptive to try this new "Jesus" thing.

Honestly-what I can stop & think I'm giving up to try to "do it all" does not appeal to me. A free Saturday for a manicure, a night to sit and soak up the tube, a day to "myself". Those are all its time, but I prayed a long time ago -"Lord, break my heart for what breaks yours" and " take my life and let it be all for You and for Your glory".

So until you change my heart Lord, guard it so that all I hear is your cheer & encouragement that I all I am doing is pressing more into You. This is my life's prize.

So it's with hands high and heart abandoned I choose to live each day with purpose. Your purpose Lord...remind this fragile heart today that its worth it...
