It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I just knew decorating and putting our Christmas tree up would make my water break like it did with Kailtyn, but Jackson is still hanging out :)
We are enjoying our last few days with KK. She is so much fun and I love how excited she gets about every little thing! She has been daddy's big helper getting our house all ready. What a fun Christmas season we have in store at the Bledsoe house!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Putting CHRIST in Christmas

I know we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving (and I really don't want to rush by this season of thankfulness), but Kaitlyn and I have had some extra time together. By doctor's orders I am to have 3 lengthy rest times a day until Baby Jackson comes.so....with our extra time (which I am loving with her by the way) we put up our Happy Birthday Jesus Christmas tree in our front entry.
I really want my kiddos to grow up with the realization of why we as believers put such emphasis on Christmas and the birth of our savior. We have been playing with our nativity scene for a couple weeks now. We have a set Grammy and Grandad got us last year from One Step Ahead and Grandma Harper also got us a nativity set on thier bus trip a couple weeks ago.

I am hoping this little tree in our entry make a BIG statement in Kaitlyn's life and is a tradition we can continue each year. It sure is hard to remember the reason for the season with the hustle and bustle of parties and presents. Most of the ornaments came from our local christian bookstore Maredell's. I also got the Jesus is the Gift sign at Mardell's.  Here are a couple of ornaments on our tree.

We also have a Happy Birthday Jesus plate that will go in the kitchen.
I would love to hear if you have found any neat ways to teach your little ones about Jesus' birth.
I think Kaitlyn is really soaking it all in. On the way to church Sunday we passed by a man putting Christmas lights on his roof and Chris asked Kaitlyn if she was going to be his big helper this year and help him decorate the house; to which Kaitlyn replied "Oh yea! Jesus is going to lub (love) it!"
Looking forward to celebrating His birth with my 2 little ones.
Can't wait for you to get here Baby Jackson!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!!!

We had a very exciting day yesterday!! Last Thursday I started having dizzy spells and spent the weekend preparing for some lab work I completed Monday morning. We waited ALL DAY for the results that would determine if Baby Jackson would be born before my doctor left for the holidays and on Kaitlyn's birthday!!! Around 4:30 the doctor finally called to say all is normal and we will hold off until December 3rd as originally planned. If we make it all day without my water breaking ( hee hee) Little Miss Priss will have November 23rd all to herself! We had fun celebrating my baby's girls 3rd birthday with family last night!
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!

1st (EVER!!!) Haircut

We took the plunge today and Kaitlyn's gorgeous baby curls got a trim. I just could never bring myself to trim her beautiful ringlets, but the tangles were getting worse and worse and I knew a good trim would make her hair so much healthier. Oh it was smiles and giggles leading up to the big cut...

But I am not sure Kaitlyn enjoyed the haircut experience. These pictures crack me up!

And the final product..... A LITTLE GIRL!!! Wow! It's amazing how grown up shorter hair makes KK look

I splurged!

A beautiful cheetah print story time series best chair will be on it's way!!

Thanks for the comments faithful readers!!
Looking forward to nights of gliding in the chair rather than walking the hallways bouncing the baby :)

To splurge or not to splurge....

I've been wrestling for a couple of days to use the last of  my $ stash to buy a rocker/recliner/glider or combo of all. We only have 1 chair in our house and it's a leather recliner. I don't really have the space in Jackson's room to put a chair, but our bedroom has more than enough space to make me a little mommy nook for late night feedings and I could see myself snuggling up to read a book or watch a movie with the kiddos too.

So...to splurge or not to splurge. Chairs are expensive!!!! Any thoughts mom's? Do you have one you recommend?? Sure looks comfy.....
