Coupon Craze

This week I went on a coupon craze after watching an episode of the Nate Berkus show that I taped about the Krazy Coupon Lady. I took my grocery list and looked at her coupon database and printed away. Here is the link to her database.

I saved about $18 this week on just little things. I scored yesterday at Target where you can stack a Target coupon and a manufactuer's coupon. Target had diapers on sale from 35.99 to 30.58. I had a $5 manufacturers coupon and a $5 coupon for diapers I printed from target.com. So I got them on sale plus $10 off!!!

Using coupons is sort of thrilling and you feel like you are cheating the system :) If you like the Krazy Coupon Lady on facebook, she also sends the best deals for grocery stores each week and even tells you how to stack coupons to get items for free.

Watch out if you are behind me in the checkout line :) I'll be the lady with 75 coupons ha!!!

Never a dull moment!!!

Praying God's Word: February

Here are the scriptures I have/will pray over my family for February and (try!!) to commit to memory! What are your favorite scriptures??

 

Week 1:
Ps 37:23 "The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives"



Week 2:

James 1:5-8 "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given to him."




Week 3:

Isaiah 43:1, 4 "Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name and you are mine..you are precious and honored in my sight and I love you."




Week 4:

Psalm 40:5 "Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.

My love story...

I set my eyes on him in 7th grade

No other boy would do

I followed him to Aggieland

I married my best friend

He gave me my snuggle bug

And 3 years later our little man

He is all mine and I love him to pieces!!

God Made Me....and God Made LOVE!!!

It's been such a long time since Kaitlyn and I had a God Made Me theme.

This month we are learned 

And God made LOVE!!!!

Kaitlyn and I talked about how much God loves us and with Jesus in our hearts, we are apart of the greatest love story of all!! I had such a great time using our Valentine Love Chain to read scriptures about God's love over my kiddos.

Two of our verses on the topic of loving others allowed me to talk to Kaitlyn about loving our friends. We even sent some of our friends the cutest valentines cards.  

Our heart hunt was a blast!! We did this several times; she sure loved this idea! We even hid hearts for daddy one day and made him go on a heart hunt during his lunch break

We made valentines for our grandparents to tell them how thankful we are of their Godly examples of love!

We did a fun Jesus Love's Me puzzle where we matched up the hearts.

We made a fun heart dessert out of Twinkies (so healthy!!)

We found John 3:16 in our bibles, talked about what the verse means, and colored this fun scripture page. 

Mommy made me fun lunches for school, and we made Valentine butterfly's for our school party

 And last (but not least) mommy couldn't pass up an opportunity to give out a present in a really fun way!

We followed the string to our fun surprise!!!
