October to shine for Him

Just a little recap of our month....
We started off October rather warm...warm enough to enjoy snow cones after school one day.
Also, warm enough to spend a Sunday afternoon playing baseball with the kids while daddy smoked a yummy chicken dinner.

This month Kaitlyn continued to hide His word in her heart and is having a blast at ASK Community Bible Study with her besties!
My little man got a big boy haircut!
Daddy and Kaitlyn went on an Indian Princess camp out to Palo Duro Canyon
With daddy and KK gone, the weekend left lots of time for me and my little man.
He is such a handsome date!
This month Veggie Tales Live came to town and the kids were super excited...can't you tell?
Kaitlyn had a school carnival that I guess mommy put a lot of time into.
Somehow I managed to get volunteer of the month at her school for the month of October.
Little Miss lost her very 1st tooth and the Tooth Fairy left her $5!!!
According to KK, that is the going rate these days.
The BEST!!! thing that happened this month was Kaitlyn's recognition of her outstanding attitude at her school's 1st 6 weeks celebration. Kaitlyn received 2 awards; the AAA Award for Attitude, Attendance, and Academics as well as the Principles Award for exceptional behavior in these areas.

The principle award was only given to 2 students in Kaitlyn's class. We pray everyday before entering school that Kaitlyn will let her light shine before her classmates, her teacher, and everyone she encounters. So proud of you sweet girl!!!
October brought on signs of fall and pumpkins galore.
Mommy had lots of fun packing lunches this month!

These lunches were packed as we prepared to let our light shines on Halloween.
We filled almost 200 goodie bags with scripture to pass out to our neighborhood.
We are so thankful for the little hearts that graced our doorsteps on Halloween. Our goal is for our friends and neighbors to  receive a seed of Truth as they munch on yummy candy.
We prayed over the recipient of each bag; we prayed that they would be reminded of His love and maybe even think about Jesus for the first time.
We packed our Operation Christmas Child boxes. This year, we made our donation online so that we could track the country our box gets sent to. It's not too late to take part in this ministry! For more info, visit here
Too much fun this month! Now onto a season of thankfulness.
