My sweet girlfriends took me to dinner for my 27th birthday. Chris was in Wyoming all week, and they took care of me so well. I am so, so blessed!!!

My new favorite thing..
Grandma & Papa Harper finally got back from their trip to Branson & to Oklahoma for Kenny's daughters wedding. They brought back lots of goodies. Kaitlyn's new favorite thing is an umbrella Grandma got her with her name on it.
Seriously...the umbrella goes outside with us, in the car, and even to Wal-Mart!

But I just wonder....
About 15 of my most precious friends are journeying through Beth Moore's Esther study with me. We are only in Chapter 2 of Esther and I have already fallen in love with the story and what God wants to teach me through the study.
In our last meeting Beth posed a topic that has me thinking. I just wonder...I wonder if Kaitlyn will want to be like me, and am I a good enough role model to deserve that position? Will she learn how to love her husband from watching Chris and I, will she see what true friendships are, will she love to read God's word, will she live a life of giving to others, will her words be seasoned with grace. She is already watching all that I do. This morning while watching me put my make-up on she was using her toothbrush to put "blush" on her cheeks.
My heart's desire is for the "beauty of the Lord to be upon me" (Psalm 90:17) in such a way that a little bit can't help but rub off on my sweet little one.

New Experiences!
This week Grandma & Papa are away so Kaitlyn stayed with a sitter for the first time(other than family or the church nursery). She was all smiles when I got home from work yesterday and she seemed to have done just fine!
Today...Kaitlyn went to her first day of Mother's Day Out at Trinity Presbyterian. I signed her up to go once a week this summer mainly to be exposed to other kids. We started off the morning with smiles!
And she looked pretty happy when I picked her up. She even painted us her first picture today! A big blue whale!
