Proverbs 31 Woman

I was reading my friend Amanda's blog http://themabees.blogspot.com/ and was so touched by her words about Proverbs 31 that I had to steal her words and share with you. She says...

I want to be the woman who's husband trusts her, who does him good and not harm all the days of her life, who works with willing hands, who rises before everyone else to take care of needs like clothing and food, a woman who dresses herself with strength physically and spiritually, one who works until the work is done, the one who keeps things steady, who helps the needy, who makes herself appealing for her husband, one who is proud of her husband and lets people know it, who has much dignity, one who overflows with wisdom and has a kind tongue, one who is not lazy, a woman who's children call her blessed and her husband praises her, one who remembers that charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised!(Proverbs 31:10-31)

I read her post a couple of weeks ago and I can not stop thinking about the woman I am and how I measure up to what God calls an excelent wife. My prayer this week is to glorify God in my marriage, in my friendships, in my role as a mother, in my job at work...in every daily task, to reflect the glory of the Lord.

Too much Fun!

We had too much fun this weekend! We started off by celebrating Wynne's birthday Thursday at La Bodega. Here is a picture of all the girls, including Kaitlyn in her fiesta party dress :)

Friday, we closed on our old house...FINALLY!! We were supposed to close a week ago, but the sellers wanted a new roof put on after the hail storm. A pain, but we are finally free from 2 house hanging over our head. After closing, we were off to the Lake with Wynne & Stephen and Jordan & Weston. I can not begin to explain how much fun we had this weekend!! Jordan, Wynne, and I all lead small groups @ E-Teen Community Bible Study this year. We grew really close and I love to gab with these girls!

Awww...the boat cruise :)

And my sweet hubby!!

On Sunday, we stopped in San Angelo and at lunch with our best friends Jeff & Cori. I miss the Stewarts sooooo much!!! I am sad we didn't get a picture together :(

Just a couple pics of my sweet girl

We are headed to the lake this weekend with friends without our sweet baby girl.

I know it's good for us to get a way and spend some time as a couple, but it sure is hard to leave this sweet face :)

Sick on Easter :(

So, I started to post some pics, and our camera battery died. We are not sure which box the charger is in, so more pics to come :) Oh the joys of moving!

We spent all week and weekend cooped up in the house. Kaitlyn started running a fever Wednesday night and we ended up at the doctor on Friday with a throat infection and cold. Sadly we did not get to go to church for Easter, but we did have the family over for lunch. I went ahead and dressed my little one in her Easter dress for around the house. She is precious..even when she does have a runny nose and watery eyes. Oh...and her new favorite thing is sunglasses so I bought a million pairs..you'll see :)

Family Time

Papa Fisher came to visit us this past weekend. It took Kaitlyn all of about 2 minutes to warm up to him. Kaitlyn's new favorite thing is stickers, so she spent all weekend putting stickers like "groovy girl" or "hot chick" all over Papa. Too funny!

Aunt Janie & Uncle Nolan came up on Sunday to eat lunch with us. Their son Stephen just got engaged and they were grinning from ear to ear!

If you look really close in this photo, you can see Brian's girlfriend Jane. Small world...she was my little brother's Shane's 5th grade teacher and testified for us in our trial after the accident. She's pretty sweet and they are getting awfully serious ????

Weekend Fun!

My weekend started on Thursday when my BFF Victoria picked my up in their sweet corvette for Girls Night Out. We headed over to her sister-in-laws for a jewelry party (so cute stuff and Victoria is going to sell, so I'll have a party soon) and then over to our friend Lisa's house.
Friday, Chris and I worked on cleaning the old house to get ready to close on the 17th and then went to Abuelo's for dinner with friends.
Saturday Wynne, Cecile, and I went to Stanton Trade Days for some girl fun and shopping. The wind was awful, but I came away with some great new additions! The black pieces were all from the same vendor, and the red piece is a magnetic board I bought for the laundry room. I stuck a picture of the new kitchen in as well!

I got this adorable video of Chris and Kaitlyn dancing outside Wednesday night as Chris was grilling. I was inside the house capturing the video through the kitchen window, so there are a good 1o seconds they don't know I am there....so precious!!!
